In this chapter we discuss the design, running, and evaluation of a Virtual Summer School for Cognitive Psychology students located throughout the UK. The students were able to participate in videoconference lectures and tutorials, work on group projects, run experiments, do statistics, access relevant journal articles via the World Wide Web, and socialise during a trial one month period. We discuss the pedagogical design and motivation behind the project, its structure and educational goals, and describe how it worked in practice. We then present the results of an evaluation survey, describe the lessons learned and make suggestions for the future.
