Alan Dix is Professor of Computing and Associate Dean in the School of Computing at Staffordshire University, UK.
His interests include the use of formal methods in HCI, delays and temporal issues, architectures for collaborative systems and detailed design of widgets.


Janet Finlay is Principal Lecturer in Information Systems and Director of the HCI Research Centre at the School of Computing and Mathematics, University of Huddersfield, UK.
Her interests include the application of machine learning and pattern recognition to HCI, design rationale, evaluation methods and interactive educational technology.
Gregory Abowd (pronounced AY-bowd) is Assistant Professor in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, USA.
His interests include the application of formal methods from Software Engineering to the design and analysis of interactive systems, ubiquitous computing, and future computing.


Russell Beale is Lecturer at the School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, UK.
His interests include neural networks, agent technology, data-mining and highly configurable user interfaces.
