Brecon to Merthyr Tydfil a marathon distance over the Brecon Beacons.

The day started wet, but level running along canal towpath – uneventful apart from two bullocks who were on the towpath and didn’t really want to move. After that a long slow uphill to the watershed gaining about 1000 feet, followed by a long descent into Merthyr.
