Within computing architecture usually refers to the way in which software is structured. Within AI this may include blackboard architectures and the choice of the types and sizes of the different layers in a deep neural network. In addition a cognitive arcitecture is a way of representing the main processes and units in the human (or other animal) brain, but at a much higher level than individual neorones.
