Terms from Artificial Intelligence: humans at the heart of algorithms

The glossary is being gradually proof checked, but currently has many typos and misspellings.

Artificial intelligence has many definitions, but is broadly about computers that do things which, if performed by a human, would be considered intelligent. Proponents of strong AI believe that it will ultimately be possible to create machine intelligence that is equivalent to a human; whereas others take a weak AI approach that is happy to see inspiration from human intelligence realised in machines. A more pragmatic approach simply looks for algorithms and techniques that can be used in practical applications.
