context of human activity

Terms from Artificial Intelligence: humans at the heart of algorithms

The glossary is being gradually proof checked, but currently has many typos and misspellings.

In day-to-day life the context in which we see someone doing something affects our interprettion of theor activity: someone running might be interpreted as fleeing, exercising or catching a bus depending on whether it is seen on the battlefield, gym or shopping street. Some modelling of context is thus essential in AI systems that seek to interpret human activty including context-aware interaction, activity recognition, implicit interaction, and incidental interaction.
