discrete distributions

Terms from Artificial Intelligence: humans at the heart of algorithms

The glossary is being gradually proof checked, but currently has many typos and misspellings.

A discrete distrbution is a probability distribution where the underlying data values are discrete such as integers or a finite set of enumerated options. Examples include the probabilities of different eye colours in a population (categorical underlying data), or the score after throwing a pair of dice (numerical underlying data).
