Go is a board game played with white and black pieces on a 19x19 board. the rules are simple, but the stregtegy complex. It was generally regarded as too difficult for AI as the branching factor is so large. In 2016, however, AlphaGo defeated a Go grandmaster using a mixture of traditional AI game search and deep learning.
