Robots often use computer vision to guide theor behaviour, or use similar tecniques for non-visible spectrum, such as infra-red or radar. Touch or pressure sensors are improving, but require specialised materials, so are less developed. As robots can move, they can also use epistemic action, that is move in order to improve senosong, for example, to look around a corner.
