Soft robotics refers to the use of soft materials in robots. Industrial robots and the ronots of oldscience fiction, typically re made of metal or other hard materials. Soft materials have several advatages: including being safer when in contact with humans, the potential for sensors enbedded in the material, and being more flexible for compliant motion.
