Digital native refers to people who have been brought up with digital technology since they were young children, usually those born from the late 1990s onwards (generation Z). The belief was once that this generation would have a different level of understanding of digital technology. While there is some truth in this, the pace of change means that this advantage may be short lived and partial, applying to common personal applications, but not generalising to more complex software or devices.
