interviews

Terms from Human Computer Interaction the Basics

The glossary is in progress.

Interviews are a common technique used principally during user research but also during evaluation, particularly post-task interviews after a more formal laboratory experiment. One-to-one interviews are most common, although one might occasionally interview a small group, especially if key participants are vulnerable or require a carer. If there are more than two or three interviewees, the dynamics change and it is better to regard the session as a focus group.
