explainable statistics

Terms from Statistics for HCI: Making Sense of Quantitative Data

Many forms of statistics can be obscure, even for those who understand the basic mathematics. The complexity of black box models in machine learning has driven work on explainable AI. While the problems for most statistical methods are less extreme, we still need to consider ways to make statistics more explainable, especially for more complex techniques such as factor analysis or ANOVA.
