linearity condition

Terms from Statistics for HCI: Making Sense of Quantitative Data

One of the conditions for the Central Limit Theorem. It says that the way in which lots of near-independent factors combine together must have a linear nature such as adding together lots of small factors, or averaging lots of larger ones.
