depth perception

Terms from Artificial Intelligence: humans at the heart of algorithms

The glossary is being gradually proof checked, but currently has many typos and misspellings.

Depth perception is about the way the distance of objects can be determined based on images at the eye (for a human) or a camera (for a machine). This may involve optical charactersitics such as stereo vision, or more semantic features such as the way one object obscures another.
