A moving images may involve video of moving objects from a fixed camera position (e.g. CCTV); fixed objects from a moving camera (e.g. photogrammetry); or both. It is possible to process video frame-by-frame as if it were a series of still images; however it is often both easier and creates better information if the series of images are analysed in a more holituc way, for example computing optical flow.
