Yay, the new edition of Statistics for HCI has been sent to the publisher!  All on track to be published in first half of 2026.

As well as minor updates throughout there is a new part entitled (provisionally) “Going large — computation, big data, and AI“, containing three new chapters:

• Empirical and Simulation Methods — beyond the fixed menu
• Big Data — seeing through the forest
• AI — intelligence but not as we know it

How the book looked after re-reading it … now I know how PhD students feel when they see their thesis full of sticky notes!
